“In the middle there’s a huge pool,” interjected Mum, who was beside herself with excitement, “with a walkway that cuts it in half and a platform where people get to dance, and a flower-shaped fountain that started every now and then; and when I say ‘people’ I don’t mean people like you and me. You should see how they’re dressed!”
“Many are in blue jeans and T-shirts, but the dancers have very little on,” interrupted Ted. “There was one dancing under the fountain; she had a very short white dress all broken up from which came out these beautiful, perfect breasts!” “And why was I here baby-sitting?” asked Grandpa, making us laugh. “Let’s go one day with you dad, and someone else will stay at home to baby-sit,” Dad promised him, adding: “I’ve heard that there are evenings when they have Wet T-shirt competitions and others when they elect Miss Tanga and Mr Tanga.” “Let’s go that night then!” decided Grandpa. “And every weekend there is a fancy dress party,” said Ted. “That would be worth seeing too.” “There is a really long slide that starts on a terrace and ends at the pool,” Mum said. “It’s shaped like a dragon’s mouth. It’s so big, an adult could stand in it.... if he was able to stand, and all around it’s a bar. People sit to have a drink and every now and then a human being comes out of the dragon’s mouth, ending up in the pool. It’s quite a jump by the way.” From UNDER THE IBIZA SKY. |
