From UNDER THE IBIZA SKY
“Let’s make a list of the things we want to do this summer and then go for it. Let’s take a month off, what do you think? Carpe diem, let’s enjoy the present,” said Dad. He took a sheet of paper and stuck it on the wall of the eco-toilet. “Write down what you fancy doing, and then we’ll decide how and when.” The list grew day by day and read like this:
Stella: Go on the dragon slide of the Ku pool.
Julie: Go to Ibiza town for dinner and then for a drink at the harbour.
Dave: Go to Benirras to play drums.
Luna: Go water skiing at Es Canar beach.
Sven: Go to Ku on Miss and Mr Tanga night.
Ted: Go to Cala Comte and swim when the sun goes down.
Julie: Have a picnic in Salinas.
Dave: Water skiing in Cala Martina.
Sven: Go to Ku when it’s Miss Wet T-shirt night.
Stella: Go to Pacha on Flower Power night.
Luna: Go swimming at dawn.
Dave: Go swimming when the moon is full.
Ted: Go to Buscastell to see the Arabic irrigation system.
Me: Have a barbecue in Cala Bassa and sleep in a tent.
Ted: Walk to Santa Eulalia to eat ice cream.
Luna: Go horseback riding at Es Canar beach.
Me: Go on pedalos on Es Canar beach.
Sven: Boating to the islet of Es Palmador.
Ted: Sail to Formentera.
It was one of the best months of my life."
